My Trip to Pittsburgh, PA

Yesterday I went to Pittsburgh for free. How that happened was my Grandma and the club that she belongs to got the chance to go to Pittsburgh to see the celebration of lights, that they have every year. They had to buy tickets of course which cost them about 85 dollars each. A couple of people called and said that they couldn't make it. So my Grandma called me and wondered if I wanted to go and of course I said yes. We took a bus kind of like a greyhound but different company. It was a nice trip up there but anyways when we got to Pittsburgh we took a tour of the city that was alright some of it was interesting and some of it was boring. then we went into this glass building and every inch of it was glass. they had a winter garden in there It was so pretty but what I thought was really cool was the Santa's from different countries that they had there; one was from the Middle East the other was from the Netherlands, China, France, Italy, Latin America, Russia, Germany, Great Britain, Haiti, Ireland and America (contemporary) and America (Victorian). It was so cool to see the different santa's from the different countries. But their stories are not the same as ours. We know America's Santa as the Jolly old pudgy guy dressed in red who comes down the chimney and on Christmas eve delivers toys. These Santa's from these other countries don't deliver toys on Dec 24th. This one in Italy come Jan 5th and rings the bell to let the Children know when she is coming I forgot to say that some of them are women. Anyways she waves a cane to warn the bad children. I would love tell you the story of all of them but that would take even longer.

Now on to the rest of the trip. After the Winter garden we finished the rest of the tour. Then we went to this really fancy restaurant called the Grand Concourse which used to be and old train station. Their food was really good. then Afterwards we went to the Hartwood Acres Eckerd Celebration of lights. They were so beautiful I wish I took a camera They had so many lights there We went into a tunnel made out of lights that was really amazing. Then we seen a bear swinging on a swing but made out of lights. Some many designs It was great and I am really glad that I got to go.

well thats all I have for now are you all out of breath yet.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Good recall on the trip. I can't believe you remembered all those countries.

The French believe that Pere Noel (Father Christmas) comes down your chimney on December 24th like ours and leaves gifts not under the tree - but in their shoes. This is only for the good boys and girls. For the bad children however, Pere Fouetard goes into their bedrooms at midnight, drags them out of their beds by their feet and chops of their heads...

I think that's why the French are much more disciplined.

(Sorry about the first comment by the way. I made a typo and had to fix it. That's why I deleted the first one.)
